Last minute plea - Are you the missing piece?

Here is the kind of post I hate making.  But I feel like I have to.....so here it goes.  

Over the last few weeks family and friends have asked how they can help us bring Jake and Milo home, and through those conversations I have found out that I'm not good at asking for accepting help (although I did finally agreed to the childcare offered for Julieta and Jude mainly because they HAVE to stay somewhere.)  I also have been very willing to ask for prayers.  Honestly, it is what we need more than anything.  But we have come to the point where I need you to share our story.  Today, I have to wire almost $18,000 to the adoption agency for the final payment on our adoptions.  It is craziness.  

Here is the breakdown so far:

Total adoption cost approximately $45,000
Amount we have fundraised $16,939
Amount we scrimped & saved since Julieta's adoption & paid out of pocket $12,056
That leaves us needed to come up with $16,005 to be fully funded.  

In 3 days.  

We can't thank everyone enough for the outpouring of support we have received. I know so many of you have already given.  I know some of you simply cannot.  But can I call on you to not just share this post, but add a personal comment to it so your friends and family know a little about who we are? 

We can not wait to bring our sons home. We travel in just 3 short days! With this adoption has come many fees to both our agency and the government. EVERY penny has been worth it. $11,600 of the $18,000 we must wire will go straight to the boys' orphanages.  I would love to raise that amount.  These donations will help the children that they have grown up with to get the care and supplies they need to grow. Things like blankets and toys...things ALL children should have. Some of these children will never know the love of a family. They will spend their entire childhood in the orphanage. At the age of 13 they will be sent out on the streets. This breaks my heart. 

So now...what can WE do? What can YOU do? Help us raise the money for the donation in the amount of $5,800 to each orphanage. This money will go directly to their orphanages. We are selling puzzle pieces for $10 each. If your family would like to purchase a piece, or a piece for each boy, or a piece from each person in your family, we will write your name on the back of the piece. Once the puzzle is put together we will frame it for Jake and Milo. We want them to know everyone that helped bring them home, and left a lasting mark on their orphanages in China. WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
